Give your son & DIL a list of things you will be doing with your Grandson and dates 6-8 weeks before you do them in much the same way as a school program (eg - February 2026 we will do X, Y, Z). Keep it simple to start with (eg - local parks) and then introduce some further activities (eg - Zoo). This gives them plenty of time to visit these places “first”. If this is met with resistance then that’s on them not you and it’s time for you to reset your boundaries!

um I find it ridiculous that grandma watches the kids 2x a week when mom is a stay at home mom. that whole point is for mom to be home with her child. even 1 night a weekend is a lot!
