This happened to my brother once and my brother in law stuck a garbage bag under the door and under the stepladder, then inflated the bag with a leaf blower. The ladder popped up and they were able to move it.

Pretend you don’t know it happened, when your husband steps into the kitchen, casually ask him to grab something out of the pantry. When he finds the problem, it now becomes his problem, finders keepers, let him figure it out for you. I do the exact same with my wife

If I knew you, I’d suggest having my 14yo son babysit and telling him to absolutely stay out of the pantry because you are hiding his Christmas presents for me. Then leave for a couple hours. He’d get in there within an hour and make it look like he never touched it.
