@davidmeltzer: There’s only one real response to fear: stop. Stop your mind, stop your body, stop your spirit long enough to interrupt the reaction. It sounds simple, and that’s exactly why most people don’t do it. The simple things to do are also the simple things not to do. Gratitude is the perfect example. Saying “thank you” before bed and when you wake up takes a fraction of a second and costs nothing, yet almost no one sticks with it long enough to see the impact. If we practiced it for 30 days, our lives would change, but we don’t take the time. Stopping works the same way. It’s a small action with enormous returns, but only if you practice it consistently.
