This is why people dislike cops you give them the real explanation and they keep pushing they have no legal justice to ask for his ID cause it’s not a legal traffic stop. It’s an investigative stop, which is technically illegal too because they just had a suspect that he looks like oh he’s black so it’s him that’s what they think!
