Kids need to know the abc”s how to count, all the colors, recognize letter and numbers, write names and all sorts of other stuff BEFORE kindergarten.. I thought that’s what kindergarten was for.. like what’s are the teachers doing if all these kids already know everything coming in? Jw

question.. what is the kindergarten teacher teaching if they already have all those skills going into kindergarten?? I know im older but that IS what we learned in kindergarten growing up.. I knew how to put on my shoes n coat but the rest was taught in school

yeah, unfortunately teachers nowadays don't wanna put the work into it so they want 3/4 of their work to already be done before they start kindergarten

When my oldest was doing homework I would give my youngest paper and scissors. They need to be able to know how to cut before they are required to cut difficult shapes. Start with straight lines drawn on a paper first and then when they’re better move on to harder shapes.

My four year old can read,count yo 200, know lower case and capital letters. We work on things at least two hours everyday. He loves to learn.
