It is ALL of the above. The movie Office Space is the most relatable movie that captures the millennial corpo American vibe ATM. Incredibly frustrating.

Has any millennial figured out what brings yall joy? I feel like my whole personality is trying to find a job that’s not soul sucking and doesn’t have crappy pay.

When I was 23 I got a $4,000 holiday bonus. Last year (9 years later) I got $375. Why show up when the company won’t put out.

Company loyalty is gone. They can let you go w/out any reason & millienials have seen this a lot. Y should one dedicate their entire life to a company & one day they let you go?

The pandemic proved that we don’t have to bust our ass to be productive. These companies ran just fine with us being home and having flexible schedules. And it’s all so alarming that we just reverted right back.

My dad keeps telling me you contributing to your retirement. Dad, I don't care about my retirement, I'm sick of not going anywhere in this economy.

I think it’s because a lot of us have hit the hundred thousand mark, but it feels like we’re still in the lower middle class.

I was taking to my husband about this. We’re turning 38 in less than a month and how CRAZY is it that we spend our days wanting the hours to pass faster so we can end the day as soon as possible and be together with our daughter at night? Like, we want LIFE to pass for just 2 hours of relief every day, while the other 12 hours of the day are just a purgatory? It’s so sad if you think about it. We look at the clock hoping the hours will go by fast and when you blink, it’s like you missed another year.

There’s just no incentive anymore. At the end of the day you’re just a number. They expect the employed to be loyal but they show no loyalty in return. Left corporate America at 28 to work in non profit, not any better then started my own business. I’ve been self employed for almost a decade but even that I feel at a loss. When you’re self employed you’re always working and the reward isn’t as high as you expect it to be. I’m 37 and finally taking a second to pump the breaks on working. I’m tired, overwhelmed, overstimulated… it just is not worth it anymore. I’m tired of working so hard to still struggle in the end.

Flexibility, burnout, corporate culture. It all feels empty. A new job with more pay and being back in the office did not help. It all feels soulless and like I’m chasing someone else’s dream

The burnout and the pay. I have the degrees but I never could get the experience I wanted in order to be in my field of choice. So I’m stuck in the “admin” industry because that’s what I have the most experience in. It’s frustrating 😭
