I did both back to back, crazy! ANCC a lot of wordings, long questions, they present patient with complex health diseases - I found it harder than AANP. AANP straight forward but still tricky because they give you like all answers are all correct. Either way Im happy I passed both. I used sarah Michelle and just took a week off to prep.

For some reason you have to do ANCC to credential with insurance for PMHNP I’ve heard??? I did AANP for my AGNP but doing ANCC with my PMHNP

My NP cohort was 50/50 split on who took what board exam. There is NO guidance on what to do. I truly do not think one is better than the other - do what works best for you!!
