I'd be telling that landlord he could piss off either he needs to install air conditioning or he needs to upgrade stuff and put permanent window air conditioners in then or mini splits

put table in front of window with AC about half inch from screen...wrap back half of AC in cardboard and duct tape...put bucket under to catch drips. did this in college, had only cold room summer semester
