firing bullets into the air is very dangerous. those bullets are gonna come back down somewhere and can kill a person.

OK, yes I completely agree with her protecting her children and to trying to scare off the intruder. However, you can kill somebody that you’re not meaning to miles away by firing it up in the air. Or can hit something important. So while I completely agree, that is negligence you need to fire it towards the ground. I know they showed in the movies firing in the air, but that is not the right call.

I think they’re wrong for taking her gun rights. I don’t think there should’ve been any punishment.

The bullets gotta come down… why not fire into your yard….. firing into the air is reckless and wild. I get why and don’t think she should be charged heavy but at the same time if one of those bullet hit some one….. then what?

i would argue she was acting under duress and wanted to protect the child. she chose not to shot directly at people which shows she had good intentions. also bullets fall at their terminal velocity not muzzle velocity, so they're less lethal.

They were already on the run making no threat to her, her family, or her property and she fired randomly in a manner that could've easily killed an innocent bystander. Absolutely a valid charge against her
