This is why Brexit happened. One side just said things really loudly without any facts to back it up. The other side knew that wasn’t true but they didn’t shout their side because no one knew 100% what would happen so didn’t want to give any misinformation.

The left and right both equally suffer from this. Extremism is one of the biggest issues we have as a society right now. Too many people see the world like a Disney film, good and bad, right and wrong. The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle, not everything is so binary.
