Morrocco is one of the last african kingdom. a lot of West African and north africans countries were "colonies" but french were defeated by moroccans and couldnt colonize them. they fought so hard ( the word barbarian is even related to berber moroccans, that sums up how shocked they were that atlas/rif mountains sheperds were so tough and unbeatable!) after decades both parties had no better choice to make a deal. it was only a "protectorate" not a "colony". Moroccans were isolated and surrounded by defeated already colonized countries under french control for about 50 years, so to 1912 til 1956 it was a protectorate. without Guns and by uniting they did their best not to be anihilated. Salute to brave Moroccan Lions.❤️
