We fail as partners a lot because at some point we know this person is severely avoidant and we trick ourselves into believing if we love them they will change. All the while they are just using you for attention and validation

Is it possible to have any consistency while dating an avoidant? Getting her to commit to a date feels like pulling teeth. Doesn't look good for this weekend either. Sometimes it feels like we're in a relationship and other times it feels like I'm here at her convenience. Not sure how to set a boundary when it comes to reliably being able to plan things together. If we can't plan and do things at least once or twice a month that I'm not sure what I'm doing here.

So pretty much the less they’re interested in you the longer they’ll stick around for the long term fun of it. But if they truly like you and see that future with you they’ll get triggered by that closeness/emotions and end up leaving early on.

I Unoreversed my avoidant. I left him for almost 3 years, but I went back. Now every time I attempt to leave he either gives me a task or asks me to marry him. 🫣🧐

If they know ur not the one would they still dedicate a lot of time to you? Do they still spend money on you buying you meaningful gifts?, I just wonder if they full on act like a partner yet know ur not the one?. Orrr would their be a difference on how an avoidant acts when he knows ur not the one?
