@jana.danielson: So I’m not a pelvic floor PT. I’m a Pilates Master instructor with over 20 years of experience. I do not diagnose pelvic floor issues, I teach the women and men in my community how to breathe better, move better, and bring oxygen rich, nutrient rich bloodflow to the 14 muscles of the pelvic floor. This bloodflow is the nutrition our muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerve tissue need to flourish. Most women have pelvic floors that are too tight already (called hypertonic) and when we focus on the squeeze of a Kegel, even though that woman ‘thinks’ she is relaxing, she in fact, is not coming fully to rest. So essentially the physics of this is that you are creating more and more tone, not strength. More tension, not function. Learn how to breathe with your diaphragm, when you are standing, 60% of your weight should be in your heels and 40% across the widest part of the foot. AND use your Cooch Ball to sit on for 3 minutes a day to bring the nutrition those muscles require. Check my bio for more info on the Cooch Ball. Use BLOOM10 at checkout if you want to jump into my community.
