I can’t lie I was a lot more stressed/unhappy renting, the uncertainty of moving every other year, huge rent increases, they horrid furniture I had to just put up with, not being able to change anything

Renting is far more stressful in my opinion, the primary reason most people don’t buy a house is because they can’t afford to, don’t ruin yourself financially just to own a home but it definitely beats renting

For those who buy houses bravo 👏, you’re responsible adults, you’ve achieved something that not many can do, you can still enjoy life too, don’t let people make you feel bad for doing something that was hard to achieve in the first place, getting a house is way better because it’s you who controls everything, it comes with challenges but it’s your challenge, you don’t have someone emailing saying you got two months to pay me x amount of rent that they onow you can’t afford so now your stressed trying to find a place in the next few months, so getting a house is a good move.

i mean this with all due respect, but it’s far more apparent who gets money given by family as it doesn’t really have a tangible “value” ie you’ve not earned it - if you save up £50k you realise how long it takes and become a lot more skeptical to give it all away in one go as a deposit but it’s a lot “easier” if it’s gifted as it wasn’t yours in the first place

Can’t say I am unhappy. I’m an 18 year-old with a mortgage, living in my own home and paying off my mortgage instead of paying up someone else’s by renting and I’m also going to Europe in eight months. You can do both.

Thank you for this video..I am also a single woman in her 20s and I have been stressing sooo much about this. And the loan offer is actually quite bad (even with my pay). So my monthly payment would be way higher than my mortgage.
