As an adult autistic person, this happens to us a lot more than people think…our need for routine and fear of uncertainty, as well as being told we said/did the wrong thing continuously for most of our lives, makes us an ideal target for people who want someone to control

As someone with AuDHD & CPTSD, my ex would purposely trigger me, blame me for my reactions, and made me feel like I was the problem the whole time. It’s really gross the way people target ND folk

It’s taken other autistic people pointing out situations where someone intentionally or negligently treated me poorly to invoke a meltdown so they could win. I never see it. Glad she is getting support hope it gets better.

ive had this store situation happen to me almost exactly and i had to just walk away, and my best friend understood. we're both neurodivergent so it's easier but damn.

I wanted to cry for her too when I read the "friends" comment about eating all the bread. that is not a friend. my best mate is autistic and so is my daughter, I'd never do that to them. I mean, I'd never do something dumb like that to anyone but I know it would be especially triggering to an autistic person to be thrown off their plans like that.
