We hired a young person who was so smart. They passed all the programming test, they were good with all the interviews puzzles. Amazingly smart. No work was done by him. He couldn’t develop a program for any business reason. We had to throw away his code and fire him because he used unauthorized ai and it broke everything. We went back to hiring senior engineers and paying well. 🤔😏

They are also playing with fake money. All the big tech companies are investing in each other and screwing with their market cap by doing so. They literally don't have enough money (they need trillions of dollars) to build out what they require for data centers, nor is there a large enough supply of hardware to fill what they will require to meet their future quarterly earnings. The bubble will burst horribly, and it will start with NVIDIA

They put copilot in my excel at work. They also put AI in adobe acrobat reader and all it does is ctrl F. They’re putting it places it has no real use to justify it’s existence and justify all the billions poured into AI.

Let’s not forget point 3. All the stuff being marketed as AI isn’t AI. LLMs are just pattern recognition and copying engines with ZERO understanding or reasoning capability. Same goes for all the image and video generators. These are niche products being marketed as broad spectrum tools that they really aren’t.
