@dianaaflaviaa: More often than not, I don’t actually feel ready. The fears don’t disappear just because I’ve thought about them for months 💭 I booked Mauritania less than two weeks before leaving 🇲🇷 I had no summer clothes, work deadlines hanging over my head, and honestly… I wasn’t even in the right mental space to go to a country I barely knew anything about. Add Iron Train prep and you get the perfect recipe for a mental breakdown 😂 But I wanted to visit this country so bad, that I DECIDED I’m ready. I’ll be ready by the time the trip starts. I had 9 days, so that should be enough, right?! 😅 After more than 3 years of traveling, I still don’t FEEL ready for trips like this, more off-the-beaten-path. And I’ve learned that I never will.. unless I actually leave ✈️🗺️ Life is unpredictable anyways. Even with all the planning in the world, things will surprise you.
