I use both. The dry I use just for color in something like meatloaf. Fresh for most other dishes.

When you live 13 miles out of the nearest town, population 250, dried parsley is an example of how you McGyver some meals. lol.

I'd prefer fresh but it goes bad before I can use it all. Nothing differant than using dried oregano, basil, or italian seasoning though I mostly just use the parsley for garnish.

I use dried parsley for when I don’t know wat other herb to flavor my food, usually chicken. And I also use it when my recipe calls for parsley but I forgot to buy fresh parsley

As a cook at a assisted living facility, there is a difference. Fresh parsley is mainly a garnish or goes well with lemon. Dry parsley is more mild and universally used in other things

some people don't have access to fresh herbs year round. Ours is hit or miss and it only stays good for a few days so dry is more convenient

I'm laughing because I use.. I always say it adds nothing to the dish. but its green so I tell myself it's healthy. 😂🥰 that's it is otherwise worthless

Dried parsley is pointless… It has absolutely no flavor. Tater is cuter than ever🥰🥰🥰

I don’t use either. When I was young they used it as garnish on a plate I had no clue and thought it was part of my salad and ate it by itself and gagged. And have never eaten it again. To me it’s gross

I just use dried parsley to add a little color sometimes. But I’m with you…fresh is so much better. I grow it so I always have it.

It's a preservation thing, to make use of all our crops before it goes bad and there are still plenty of places in the world that don't have access to many fresh foods. Not to mention, in American cuisine, it's mostly seen as a garnish, but in many others, it's a main distinct herb used... I do prefer home grown to store bought and freeze dried over dehydrated, it makes a difference herbs

Fresh flat leaf Italian parsley only. Curly parsley is strictly a garnish. Dried parsley is dust and a waste of money.
