I highly recommend to do what hes doing and to focus the grip on the ball with your fingers. Because i was playing a game once and i went to set but accidentally dislocated my thumb because at that time i was using the wrong setting technique and was mainly using my thumbs to push the ball, hurt like hell and my thumb still hurt to this day

I have a question.. I search for it but I couldn't find how can I overcome my fear of the ball when It comes too high or not smooth (I don't know how to describe it.. but is like rough?), because when I try to set balls like that I simply can't do it right for fear of hurting my fingers
