My great grandmother was a teenager in the early 1900s. While I never met her, I heard stories of her from my grandmother, and apparently she was ecstatic when all those layers fell out of fashion 😂. Being able to dress without a sibling for help was super liberating for her. She did, however, continue to only wear dresses even when women's pants came into fashion. That aside, great outfits! its super cool to see how historical fashion has changed.

While regency is definitely more comfortable looking I think you can definitely tell a progression in women’s right from one the the other. Regency shoes were not made for walking distances unlike the tougher Edwardian boots, they had longer skirts and more garments were designed to use the help of someone else unlike Edwardian. Edwardian is starting to allow women more independent in their day to day life. (Obviously this wasn’t the case with everyone but it certainly tells a story of the richer women of society)
