I’m just happy you ride with them correctly with a normal set of reins attached! Go to AQHA Congress and see how many people ride with draw reins only, drives me crazy.

It’s funny cause I’ve never mind a horse that doesn’t stand but then when I see other people’s horses not stand for them my first thought is “wow what an untrained horse, that’s dangerous” yet my personal horses walk off with me constantly before I’m on lol

productive ground work is my “safety net” before I get on my young one. Makes the world of a difference to get them listening to you on the ground and get their brain working and body moving. Makes rides much more productive in general 😊
