I have two thoughts. 1. Yes it would have been different to have him win and ride off into the sunset simply because it hasn’t been done that way in WWE. 2. Leave with a lose on the way out aspect, it classic WWE, leave putting someone over and pushing newer talent. Only thing I disliked was the tap out, even if it was John’s idea I don’t like it. It’s totally against his 20+ years of never give up persona and I don’t like that aspect of it. People can argue who was put over but that is on the business to make that person higher realms of the business.

is not he loss,it's how he loss. He looked defeated when he tapped. he should have looked like a hero hold out till the very end. not a sad little tap that he was smiling through. it was weird to end on that note.

The match needed to be more lop sided like when Lesnar suplexed Cena to hell. Gunther could have powerbombed Cena over and over then sleeper and then he's out, not tapping. Would have been just as powerful.
