Purebred bengal kittens don’t end up in shelters. A shelter will say they are bengal in order to raise the adoption fee though. But these kitties are absolutely adorable and will clearly be very well loved! And that is all that matters.

If a Bengal breeder gave them up...it's because their cat likely had kittens with a stray. They could very well be Bengal tabby mutts. They're super cute but they also have those telltale tabby forehead "spiders"

My guess, if they’re not bengals 100%. A breeder had an oopsy and one of his girls got knocked up by a random tabby. So he had to get rid of them cuz they wouldn’t sell.

Breeders will never put their offspring in the shelter EVER. Also shelters unfortunately will upcharge for “luxury” or high appeal breeds, so a lot of them will take advantage of it and just put an appealing breed on there.

Did no one learn from that one women who “adopted” that one cat and they charged her a crazy high fee and then she had them dna tested and the shelter pretty much said “sucks to suck” 🙃

Bengals do have distinct spots kinda like a leopard from the moment they’re born unfortunately I do think the shelter or the “breeder” fibbed they look like domestic shorthair tabbies. Still super cute! But you may have been taken advantage of price wise😕

The shelters are not breeders or vets. They are only going off of what they were told and people think just because it has spots that makes it a bengal.
