Yall are so worried about only having 10 carriers instead of 11. The Nimitz NEEDS to be decommissioned. She is in a terrible state. Did a deployment on her in 2013 and she was horrendous then. I can only assume it’s gotten worse. Having ten carriers for two years is fine. 5 east, 4 west, 1 FWD deployed in Japan. America will be fine for two years with 10. Half of yall don’t know that when the enterprise got decommissioned the ford was no where near ready, she had her first Imployment late 22’ and her first full deployment in 23’. Enterprise was decommissioned in 17’. We did just fine then.

I was on the Enterprise when the Nimitz was first released to the fleet,we docked side by side in Alameda ,that was in 81/84, we were rarely in port at the same time
