my situational awareness just keeps me at home. the stress of constantly looking over my shoulder and having to keep all eyes on my kids while scanning for threats isn't worth it. being American has its own unique set of cons.

I read this book about how/why certain people survive disasters and the biggest thing was that those who accept that something bad is happening immediately and take action without waiting for direction/permission had best outcomes. Those who tend to hesitate/freeze or wait to be told what to do are at higher risk. It’s always better to be wrong and alive.

Jeeeeez USA, what are you doing?? You should have banned guns decades ago. Instead, you have to worry about mass shootings EVERY DAY!! I‘m so glad we moved to Germany from the US 30 years ago!! You can’t imagine how safe it feels here because we don’t have guns!

I was in a mall when a shooting broke out, everyone froze and you had to tell people to keep moving. Hid in a stock room until we got the all clear. My son still won’t go into malls.
