@abc7newsbayarea: Starting this week, people can now join their loved ones past the security checkpoint at Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport. 'Non-passengers' can now apply online for security clearance up to seven days in advance of the day they want to visit the airport. This isn't crazy lol and it already happens. If a child is flying alone an adult can get a pass to walk them to their gate. Same with old people. I flew a few times as a kid and my parents were able to hangout until we departed

If the airlines lowered their prices for Oakland, there would be more business. The airport should lower the cost of the airline operation costs at OAK as long as the savings are passed on to customers
