No, just read it back to her and change one digit. If she corrects you, then it's legit and she really wants to hear from you. If she doesn't correct you, then it's fake or she really doesn't want to hear from you.

I always thought they called the number in front of them so that the other person has their number as well. like if someone gives me their number I will text them or call them to make sure that they also have mine. Plus if they give a number out to More than one person or I'm more than one occasion They would have a chance to save your number in a way where they would remember who you were
