When I was in the 5th grade we had a new student who had Down Syndrome. After a rough start with some others in the class my teacher decided to make him my desk partner. I loved him so much but unfortunately lost touch when we went to different middle schools. I had told my husband about my 5th grade best friend for years. We visited our old hometown in our mid 20’s and went to a grocery store. While walking an aisle I heard my name being called and it was Joel! I was truly and forever touched he not only noticed it was me but remembered our friendship as dearly as I did.

I wish people would be more kind, lots of kids get left out and even adults get left out, sometimes your too honest and that throws everyone away, I've seen adults get left out and I've seen kids get left out and why? why can't we all just accept someone, I'm always the one to include and I don't leave anyone out but it's not reciprocated ...
