It’s more than “she was going 16 mph”. She’s 20 weeks pregnant, terrified for herself and her baby, not to mention I’m sure shes having extreme anxiety. Before you start judging put yourself in the situation for real bc that sounds scary.

IF PEOPLE DONT KNOW if this happens put the car in neutral! it makes it so gas doesn’t go into the engine and allows the car to start slowing down

Just so every knows, you can always always always shift your car hard into neutral and then let off the accelerator and put on the e brake IF YOU ARE GOING SLOW ENOUGH. Please don’t pull the e brake if you are going like 90 😂 but neutral and no acceleration will help you start to slow down.

i understand the panick i do- but just so people have this info just in case. MODERN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CARS WITH A SHIFTER CAN BE FORCED INTO NEUTRAL also dispatch shoulda warned her they were gonna bump stop it

In case anyone has this happen to them. Try to stay calm, put it in neutral, try to apply the e-brake or parking brake GENTLY, and try to shift down to low or 2 or any gear you have thats below drive.
