No one told me this when I started dating with confidence… You don’t have one feminine awakening and suddenly wake up to dinner dates, flowers, gifts and commitment. I wish it worked like that. Dating progress happens in levels. You probably won’t go from donut dates to restaurants in the Michelin Guide overnight. I didn’t. It took me time to get to a point where upscale restaurants, thoughtful planning and men investing in the experience became normal for me. And here’s what surprised me: I already thought I was confident. What I didn’t have yet were the dating skills. I didn’t always understand perceived value. I didn’t recognize every pick-me behavior I was still doing. I didn’t always know when I was accidentally communicating “you don’t have to do much for me.” And THAT is why I talk about the tiny details of dating so much. Because I can tell you to “raise your standards” all day… But what does that actually look like on a random Tuesday when a man asks you out? What do you say? What do you decline? What do you stop volunteering? What do you let him handle? That’s the part nobody teaches you. And those tiny decisions are exactly what I help you get better at. You’re going to make mistakes. You’re going to discover pick-me habits you didn’t even know you had. You’ll sometimes realize after the date that you could have handled something differently. Good. Because dating is a craft.
