While I’m all for single payer system, I would settle for pre-Nixon “Insurance companies are not allowed to make profit.” The profit motive disincentivizes them from doing what they are payed to do.

We’re long past 80% payment for all it needs to be a full healthcare system takeover. Direct resources to where they need to be like the NHS, programs that give doctors bonuses for getting patients into healthy routines that benefit society

Can we, please, stop calling this Medicare for all? We already have a Medicare program, and people are confusing the two, thinking they are the same when they are very much not the same program. I want a Universal Single payer program and fear that calling it Medicare for all will get people to not support it thay otherwise would.

We have Medicare & they can't negotiate prices. We have tri-care in our military & it has little to no power to negotiate prices. A $38T in debt government has no negotiation powers. If it did, we wouldn't be this deep in debt.
