this is a huge problem in social media. people just refuse to do the bare minimum research for themselves. even in like video game tips and tricks pages you will see the same question 40 times in a row because no one can even bother to scroll, much less open Google. it is a lack of critical thinking. no one knows how to form their own thoughts or think anymore they just want the information shoved at their face. also...who tf even calls people cows anymore? are we in kindergarten?

When I was listening to you during that portion of the video I had the thought that the way TT is set up (not a feed of people you follow, but what it thinks you want to see with a SPRINKLE of people you follow) is making this problem you point out SO MUCH WORSE! People don’t even get to have a para-social relationship w you like they got used to on sites like IG because you’re popping up for people once every month or two and it’s making people forget creators are people (like you said!) totally agree w everything you said here (and there) but damn people need to be better than they are and fight the idea that you’re not a person for their entertainment only.

Girl, she’s the one that’s a cow! I don’t know anything about hair & I don’t even dye my hair. I barely even brush my hair lol I’m basically here because I love your content & your energy, and in the time that I have followed you, I have learned so much about hair. I know the bleached formula by heart. I know all of the amika & matrix products down to what is for what. I have screenshots of the Ola Plex explaining what is for what! I know the brands of the colors you use. I know so much because of the content that you create. 👏 I don’t know why people feel entitled to leave comments like that. Basic skills like research and conversation are a relic of the past. Don’t even get me started on grammar and spelling! It’s the Participation Trophy Principle: When someone is rewarded for no effort, is used to always getting their way, has never heard the word “No”, was never “corrected” when they threw a tantrum, and doesn’t grasp a basic understanding of manners and respect, this is what you get. It’s giving “Intellectually and emotionally STUNTED.” Also, have you ever seen a baby highland mini cow? Literally the cutest thing on this green earth and I, for one, LOVE ‘em. 😘

No girl, I 1000% agree. When I see something on tiktok I might be interested in buying, I go google it. It's that simple... If I have questions based on specific experience on the product, I might comment and ask the creator, but other than that, google gives all the information needed...

What it comes down to is people wanting things for free. They don’t want to pay someone (a hairdresser, a doctor, a cosmetologist, etc.) who deserves to be paid to answer these questions, instead they want you to put out the effort for nothing because it only benefits them. Education & educating is great, but you also deserve to be paid for that knowledge & what you put on TikTok (in form of videos or responses to comments) should always be up to you because you are giving it FOR FREE.

You should make a playlist of frequently asked questions and update every so often, like once or twice a year, so that when people do ask those questions or you get new followers asking those questions you can just refer them to there.
