can you do a video of the chain, over the nose vs under the chin? we use over the nose with our TBs for control. I guess I just don't understand how under the chin can control. if they get spicy and there's pressure from the chain, wouldn't it make them rear up?

Training forks are for snaffles! a curb bit relies on rotation. By forcing the rein pressure down you are just pulling the whole bit down..

Have you ever had issues where the horse panics from not being able to lift their head? I use a market harbourer that goes between front legs through the bit and clips onto the reins

any person taking an animal out in public needs to feel confident that god forbid the worst case scenario happen they have it under thumb. youre an amazingly diligent owner and I wish more folks, equine and canine, had this kind of consciousness. love the explanations for the training equipment

Odd question about training forks. They are a very common tool that I have used on all my horses. I usually use a short shank bit with them but ive recently joined a trainer who told me to stop using them with the the bit I have and they should only be used with a snaffle. I’ve never really heard that it makes a difference between snaffle and shank bit. Only that the shank bit gives more pressure. I tried to ride her in a snaffle with training forks and my horse hated it. Does it matter if they are used with a snaffle or a shank bit and why?

Personally opinion! It doesn’t matter to me what you do but I want your thoughts 😝 I haven’t found more control with training forks. I feel like it severely limits my lateral pull. So if I needed a one rein stop it doesn’t work as well. But I find the German martingale to be the bees knees.

My grinch and Cindy Lou ended up walking with their drill team because I didn’t know how their horses would do with the lights nosies. I flip flopped on it. They were suppose to walk our mini but he ended up staying in the trailer. Asphalt isn’t where I felt safe testing any of them in the end. I fully understand you’re over thinking. ❤️♥️💙💜
