In England you'll probably get a snow day if it is -3 and around 3 inches of snow 😂

I like about an hour from the coast in the southern US. If there’s a flurry we’re getting a snow day.

Small towns to saskatchewan, our school never closes because of the facts some town kids still go to school. So there is always a few teachers that show up, regardless what the weather is, but buses don't run, if there is a major blizzard , or if it's minus forty.

I work in healthcare. Schools assist essential services keep running. If nurses and doctors didn’t have somewhere for their kids, hospitals would close. Thank you for your service!

North Carolina here! We missed two days of school last week because they thought it might snow! We were out all day Monday and nothing happened. The snow finally started in the evening but didn’t stick. They were concerned about icy spots on the road on Tuesday so we stayed home again.

In Virginia, if the weather app has a little snow emoji, regardless of any other information, Walmart becomes a war zone. It makes the news. We talk about it for hours. The morning comes, we get a snow day pretty much regardless of how much. Then, it melts throughout the day, but over the next night, it refreezes. Then we have a second snow day. And, last week, it then snowed again. We had four snow days or something ridiculous

In North Dakota they actually build Snow Days into the calendar. Manitoba seldom if ever closes (at least in Winnipeg). Never understood that Winnipeg heartiness.

I’m in Alberta. The power has been going on and off here. When I left the school they couldn’t get the alarm to stop going off because there were too many power outages. But there is no way school will be cancelled tomorrow. I’m not even holding my breath. 😂

One time when I was in the marine corps stationed at Camp Pendleton, we were sent home early because a thunderstorm was on the way. Not a dangerous one, just like rain and lightning. They didn’t want us dying on the roads 💀

My daughter is in pilot mound MA at a hockey academy and we’re from Texas! She’s like it’s soooo cold mom!! Lol here they will start late for freezing a bit on the ridiculous side. In pilot mound they all had to scramble to get packed to fly home and get to Winnipeg before the storm hit! So different!!

Omg. South Texas here. If the temp drops below 32f they cancel school just in case. But that was not the case in the 80s when I was growing up. Back then, they never cancelled school. We had a hurricane coming - direct impact, set to make landfall Friday night and we still had to go to school that Friday.

East coast of Canada and we get a snow day when roads are too dangerous for /school busses to run (all students are bussed in from a 1.5hr radius). We had 5 snow days this month 😅

Owen Sound ON and the kids got a whole month of snow days last year. 30 snow days all together which is nuts in my opinion I lived out of town and might have had 3 snow days a year.
Already the kids have had 5 days of snow days here.
Apparently its just where you live because they dont run the buses here. lol

Saskatchewan here - it’s rare to have a snow day but we did have at least one school division preemptively close all their schools yesterday.
