I only had to use my AAA once when I was in college, 90 miles away from home with a '96 Grand Cherokee with 215k miles on it. my gauges were kinda busted (bad computer) and I had a coolant leak. my engine overheated while I was 70 miles from home. called AAA, they brought me and my car the 70 miles to the shop I went to all through hs, and my dad picked me up from there. the mechanic said if I'd driven any farther I'd need a new engine, instead all they had to do was replane my engine block (still $800 but not 3-5k that a new engine would have been)

For my birthday present my mom get me AAA every year. last time I called them for a tow, because I thought my transmission had gone out. The tow truck driver said "actually I can temporarily fix this for you so you can drive out of here and all you need is a twenty five dollar part".

the one time I needed it, no one in my area could help so I called AAA, I couldn’t get help unless I was already a member and if I signed up then it wouldnt start till the next day. That being said ALREADY HAVE THE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE MEMBERSHIP OMG IT SUCKED TO DEAL WITH

You don’t have to be a “senior citizen” to join aarp. They offer roadside assistance, and lots of other things

Literally had to have my car towed yesterday. stopped accelerating, while I was on the highway. Luckily I was by an exit and got it to a safe spot. The Catalytic Converter is Core.

My parents give my husband and me a AAA membership as a Christmas gift each year and it has come in handy so many times. They helped when my alternator went. They’ve changed our dead batteries on different cars multiple times.

Insurance agent here, roadside coverage is around $20 per year with most insurance carriers.
