How doe someone who claims to be so educated in bioregulators make that dosing mistake? If you are buying epitalon from a research supplier and dosing at 5-10mg daily, you may be using 500-1000x more of the active compound than the research suggests is necessary. The human clinical trial on circadian rhythm used sublingual epitalon at 0.5mg/day (500mcg) for 20 days. Melatonin synthesis increased 1.6-fold versus placebo. A 2025 systematic review in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences noted that when comparing antioxidant effects, epithalamin required 1000-fold higher doses than synthetic epitalon to achieve comparable results. A 2003 monkey study published in Advances in Gerontology compared both compounds directly in the same experiment. Epithalamin was dosed at 5mg/animal/day. Epitalon was dosed at 10 micrograms/animal/day. Both produced the same result: significant increase in nighttime melatonin in aged animals. That is a 500-fold difference to achieve equivalent effect.
