It’s actually a simple concept. You can’t “decenter” something that’s always at the center of your attention. It’s the same way I feel about white people. I’d rather just lift up my community, rather than constantly talking about how horrible the other side is.

You can be distrustful of men generally without obsessing over how much you don’t trust them :) maybe that’s your point but IMO decentering men means not thinking about them constantly, whether in a positive or negative regard

idk if I agree with this. Obsessively disliking is maybe too much, but being distrustful is just basic pattern recognition and personal safety. Decentering men is also about acting accordingly despite their feelings
