The aircraft was en route from Amsterdam to the Caribbean island of Aruba — a 10-hour flight. The return flight, however, was cancelled so the plane could be "thoroughly cleaned" before being put back into service, said a KLM spokesperson. Passengers who were supposed to be on the return flight were compensated with overnight accommodation while the airline looked to provide alternative flights. More than 250 passengers were left stranded by the cancellation. #rat #plane #fyp
