Guys I need advice… I have an avoidant bf who most of the time is very shy and doesn’t talk a lot. I know he doesn’t like being around lots of people and prefers being alone most of the time. I’ve been trying to help him get over his anxiety and feel safe with me, but he has a hard time with emotions and can’t express himself freely. I always reassure him by saying I’ll always be here to talk/listen and that I’m not going anywhere. It’s hard for me to tell whether he’s confused or overwhelmed by our relationship and I really want us to work out and he knows that too. Any ideas about how I can talk to him in a gentle way and get him to understand how I feel about his actions and words and how I want him to improve?? I don’t wanna be pushy abt it tho and make him shut down. This behaviour has been going on for the past 3 weeks since we got back tg for the second time.

reading this made me realize that i've done this things already, but she is just too manhid to the point that i'd often think she doesn't care, but i'd just brush the negative thoughts away, and think we'll get through "this". and we always do get through tought things.
