@zmilitanr: Ka-50 “Black Shark” – Russian Attack Helicopter The Ka-50 is a single-seat attack helicopter developed by the Kamov Design Bureau for the Soviet Army during the late Cold War. Its first flight took place in 1982, and it officially entered limited service in the mid-1990s. Featuring a coaxial rotor system with no tail rotor, the Ka-50 has excellent agility and stability. It is armed with a 30mm 2A42 cannon, anti-tank guided missiles, rockets, and air-to-air missiles for self-defense. The Ka-50 was designed as a highly automated gunship, reducing crew workload to allow a single pilot to operate it effectively. Although produced in small numbers, it became the foundation for the later Ka-52 “Alligator.” #Ka50 #attackhelicopter #militaryaviation #russianarmy #fyp
