Sorry cameraman but you’re wrong in this situation. A mechanic cannot just hear a sound or take a quick glance at your car and magically know how to fix it. Some issues are easy, some are not. If you are constantly calling them to ask for updates (like multiple times a day) you are stopping them from doing their job. The front desk workers will not know what the issue is until the mechanic communicates that to them so they can call you. If you’re constantly calling then the mechanic has to stop what they are doing to basically say I don’t know yet. That mechanic is more than likely neck deep trying to diagnose the issue for you. So if you stop them with these calls they pretty much have to start over and that slows everything down. Including when you get your vehicle back. I know it’s hard because we all need our vehicles but you need to give the adequate time to do their job. If you haven’t heard anything say in 3 days, then yes call them. But once asking for an update.
