I am curious, because it's direct competitor Sony ZV-E10 II is better in many regards. Faster read out speed (less rolling shutter), higher dynamic range, bigger lens selection, 4K 60 with less crop. However, especially for TikTok where 1080p 30 is absolutely fine and you don't want to use the image right as it was captured without further editing, the R50V may be the better option due to better out of camera colors. For APS-C R Mount Canon, there are actually third party lens options from Sigma. The best way would actually be the Sigma 17-40 1.8, a beast that actually covers every focal length you need as a content creator. Or the Sigma 12 or 16, 30 and 56mm 1.4. They are all fast and optically way superior to the Canon equivalents and costs just few bucks more. Canon itself just released the 45mm 1.2 for less than 500, that is also a pretty interesting lens.

You don’t find 50mm a bit tight on apsc? Depends what you’re using it for, but I found 35mm (~50mm full frame equivalent) far more versatile when I used to use apsc.
