Mabel Update | Day 4 of Physical Therapy & Wheelchair Training Today marks Mabel’s fourth day of physical therapy and wheelchair training, and the progress she’s making is awesome. We customized her wheelchair by cutting foam inserts to keep her snug, supported, and upright so she doesn’t tip or fall over. We also added grip socks to her back feet to help her hooves from sliding and slipping while she learns how to move and balance. Every day we’re doing gentle stretches and different movement exercises, because Mabel’s muscles haven’t really been used since the day she was born over three weeks ago. And let me tell you — she is absolutely amazing. The difference between day one and day four is night and day. Since arriving at Clear Creek Adventure Ranch Nonprofit Sanctuary, Mabel has shown us what happens when an animal is given time, patience, and love.
