@nancidozier: update! the issue resolved itself. please read the FULL caption and explaination. I am not looking for a diagnosis, we were in contact with her pediatrician. my 6 year old daughter tested positive for Flu A on Monday. Wednesday she woke up complaining of leg pain, primarily calf pain, and was struggling to walk. She was fever free this day, and I assumed it was residual body aches from high fever the days before. it continued all day. I messaged her doctor's office and was advised this is not uncommon with Flu A. Rest, provide pain reliever (ibuprofen or acetaminophen) and warm compress. I thought this was a strange symptom of the flu, so I asked the internet for more information, and it popped right up. I had no idea about this, so maybe my friends and family don't know either, which is why I'm sharing this. *This is NOT intended to be medical advice! This is one child's Flu journey. Please contact your child's medical professional if abnormal symptoms appear. #FluA #BACM @Beachgem10 any input?

Get her to the ER. She likely has rhabdomylitis. This can permanently damage her kidneys.

She needs to go the ER immediately not wait on a drs appt. Myositis occurs with Flu at times and can’t

This happened to my son twice. It was Rhabdomyolysis. He was hospitalized for 3 days. It can be very dangerous causing harm to your kidneys.

Unless people are medical doctors they shouldn’t be making diagnoses on TikTok.

Hi everyone! thank you so much for your comments and input. We have been in contact with her pediatrician and she was being watched closely. As we were told, she has improved over the last 2 days. Today, she is almost 100% back to normal.
This was not posted as a request for medical advise, or diagnosis, her pediatrician had already provided that. I shared to make others aware of this post flu possibility.

Happened to my son in February. He was hospitalized with rhabdomyolysis and had to have iv fluids for 3 days. They told me to take him home and push fluids. If I wouldn’t have taken him back he could have died. Might want to get her a blood draw to see where her ck levels are

Make sure she is drinking lots and make sure she is peeing! My son does this every time he gets a virus. It’s scary! We had to take him to the hospital as a toddler for the first time.
