Most of us (even though of us with extensive clothing collections) are not Carla Rockmore. We utilize hanging storage bags for shoes, hooks in the closet door for belts…etc. nothing to apologize about - this is most of us.

hold up - this is how people live. don't let yourself be gaslit about how it should look. the hangers still work. you walk into 10 houses, and 9.9 of them will have mismatched hangers. don't lose sight of that.

I don’t think clothing storage needs to be aesthetic. Walk-in closets full of matching storage and display accessories are not necessarily the norm, even outside of big city apartment living. There’s no way my 110-year old 3-bedroom house will ever accommodate a way to showcase my clothing and shoe collection influencer-style and that’s normal and fine! (Also, imo the lockers look really cool.)
