Agreed! And it’s delayed offense… as the show has ALREADY AIRED! Besides, we have much bigger fish to fry right now.

There was a trigger warning before the episode of Friends when Ross gets the fake tan the other day!

Well, they could trigger warning that a trigger warning is coming. It’s the only solution

I once had to stop listening to a podcast because they put a warning in front that there were insect sounds in the podcast

there's nothing wrong about informing ppl about what they are about to see but they don't be the explanation. the amount of times I felt like burning my phone and eyes after just opening this app ppl might need them 😂

i like when a horror piece will use trigger warnings to build hype or suspense. it’s an old school exploitation shlock technique of adopting a the attitude of a concerned moralist while gleefully peddling smut and gore and there’s something cozy about it to me. when it’s used as a disclaimer to preempt criticism it’s kind of lame tho.

I also think they have migrated well past their original intent. They used to be there for soldiers coming back from Iraq letting them know that things like fire works may trigger a PTsd episode. They’re not meant to be a “you may not like this” warning.
