I feel like people should do what they can afford and I’d just be happy to celebrate with my friends. I wouldn’t mind eating pizza in a gown, tbh it sounds like fun 😂😂😂

We did a pizza truck at our casual welcome event for 80 people with beer, wine, live music it definitely saved a lot of money and we had nearly as much fun the night before as we did for the formal sit down meal for the wedding day. I think communication and expectation management is key. If it’s a local casual event go for it!

100% depends on the experience you’re hosting. a more informal experience can absolutely be pizza. but we can’t put expectations on guests that we can’t meet ourselves, no?

I would never base my outfit on expected food. Of course, black tie when noted, but if it is a wedding in general, there is a minimum expectation of a tire because you would want to look nice because you might be in photos regardless of what food is served. Catered food can be very lackluster while being very expensive versus pizza can be pretty great for less, as a wedding vendor I am highly in favor of the pizza!

I just went to a wedding that had pizza and salad and it was wonderful. My dress was still fancy and expensive, this doesn’t make any sense to me
