I’m definitely in the great millennial career crisis. I’m in corporate healthcare staffing and trying to find my passion. What makes me happy is traveling and photography, so I’m back in school in a Travel & Recreation program and a photography class. I literally cannot imagine being THIS unhappy for 20+ more years 😩 so I needed to take one step somewhere!

another career pivot..I was a cosmetologist and switched to a dog groomer. I learned the trade in 2 years/ dont need a liscense in FL I trained under a senior stylist. then opened my own salon. I work 25 hours a week and make $70,000 a year.

the problem with this for me personally is while I agree a pivot is needed, it is so difficult to pivot without education or taking a huge dip in salary which is unrealistic with the cost of living. thoughts??

Marketing sucks because you’re typically doing the job of multiple people and so UNDERPAID! Especially if you’re a creative! Everyone freaks out when something isn’t perfect, yet don’t respect the job enough to offer marketers/creatives competitive wages for the work they do.
