The comment section is missing the point of what he is saying. This guy is simply saying that a person must be knowledgeable with current affairs to make better decisions for the relationship. I see a lot of people are defensive here and instead of analyzing what he's trying to say before commenting. For example it can be be about Repo rates, so imagine your GF/BF does not know anything about it, so it can mean they don't want to buy a house for the relationship. So the little knowledge matters.
