Beginner me said yes lol but as I got Draper into digital art so say no. Digital has its own techniques and honestly I got better drawing on pencil and paper bcz of digital art

as a digital artist that does traditional all the time as that's how I started. digital is easier for me, but I love to play around with the effects and layers, I don't use a ton of layers, I have my sketch and my color and perhaps some glow overlays to some stuff. it's only easier for me cuz of the undo ability. it's not cheating, it's a form of art. cheating is ai

Not at all. They’re just tools and applications, and we put in the effort to create something from nothing. So nope, digital art is not cheating at all. AI PROMPT, however, is not art.

No not at all, it is its own special talent. I’ve been painting for almost 30 years and care barely draw a picture on procreate lol it requires its own skill set that has to be learned.

it's a tool like any other. you're gonna call a roofer a hack because he uses a nail gun instead of a hammer ? you can use either tool it's the product and care that went into it that makes or breaks it.

No. But it is more forgiving. In ZBrush I have Ctrl+z. When I sculpt in clay there’s no undo command.

Ai is like buying premade frosted gingerbread and adding extra fingers and toes to it. Digital media is making some things from scratch but some pre made ingredients. Analog is making the gingerbread from scratch.

Considering the learning curve required, I'd say no. But then again, Jackson Pollock just dripped paint on a canvas and called it a ceremonial dance. So with skill out of the way... Creativity wise, we wouldn't had animated movies and games without digital artists, so again, no. Ai is the only cheater here.
